When Jordanne and Caelan were planning their wedding entertainment at the beautiful Drenagh Estate, they certainly made sure there was plenty to keep their guests entertained.
With live music from The Coves Band, roulette and blackjack from Fun 21 Casino Hire and even a spectacular fire performance before dinner, their wedding reception had a brilliant mix of entertainment — and plenty of memorable moments along the way.
For us, it was another opportunity to bring our fun casino experience to one of Northern Ireland’s most impressive wedding venues, and Jordanne and Caelan’s guests certainly embraced it!
A Stunning Georgian Wedding Venue
Set amongst beautiful grounds near Limavady, Drenagh Estate is a stunning setting for a wedding, with its historic Georgian house providing an impressive backdrop to the celebrations.
One of the things we particularly liked about Jordanne and Caelan’s wedding was how they made use of the different areas around Drenagh throughout the day.
The old house provided the setting for their reception before guests later made their way outside and across to the marquee for dinner and the next part of the celebrations.
But there was plenty of entertainment to enjoy before they got there.
Wedding Entertainment at Drenagh Estate
During the reception, our Fun 21 roulette and blackjack tables were set up inside, giving guests the opportunity to try their luck with our fun money and enjoy some friendly competition.
At the same time, The Coves wedding band were performing live outside the Morning Room.
It worked brilliantly.
Guests could move between the casino tables and live music, have a drink, chat with friends and family and simply enjoy the reception without feeling as though they had to stay in one place.
Meanwhile, things were getting increasingly competitive at the casino tables!
Roulette and blackjack are naturally very social games, so it didn’t take long before guests were gathered around the tables, cheering each other on and getting involved.
And you certainly don’t need to know how to play.
Part of our job as professional croupiers is showing complete beginners exactly what to do, while keeping the games entertaining for everyone around the table.
Roulette, Blackjack and Plenty of Friendly Competition
As the reception continued, the casino tables became busier, with plenty of laughter, conversation and friendly rivalry between Jordanne and Caelan’s guests.
That’s one of the reasons we love providing casino entertainment during this part of a wedding day.
There can often be a few hours between the ceremony and dinner, and interactive entertainment gives guests something they can actively take part in while they relax, mingle and enjoy the reception.
It also provides a great opportunity for different groups of guests to mix.
Someone might arrive at a blackjack table knowing only the person standing beside them, but a few hands later the whole table can be laughing, celebrating wins and commiserating over the dealer pulling another 21!
That was certainly the atmosphere at Jordanne and Caelan’s wedding.
And Then Came the Fire!
Just when guests might have thought the entertainment was finished, there was another surprise waiting outside.
As the reception came to an end and everyone began leaving the old house to make their way towards the marquee for dinner, a fire performance started outside.
It was a spectacular way to bring one part of the wedding day to a close and lead guests into the next.
With live music outside the Morning Room, roulette and blackjack inside and a fire performer waiting as guests headed towards dinner, Jordanne and Caelan had created a reception where there always seemed to be something happening.
Creating a Memorable Wedding at Drenagh Estate
Jordanne and Caelan’s celebration was a great example of just how much can be done with wedding entertainment at Drenagh Estate.
Rather than relying on one form of entertainment, they created different experiences for their guests throughout the reception.
The Coves provided the live music, our Fun 21 casino tables brought the interaction, laughter and friendly competition, and the fire performance provided one final surprise before everyone headed to the marquee for dinner.
For us, it was fantastic seeing the roulette and blackjack tables so busy and watching guests embrace the fun of the casino.
