When Alice and Niall were planning their wedding at the beautiful Culloden Estate & Spa, bringing their guests together was an important part of the evening.Â
With Alice originally from England and Niall from Belfast, their wedding brought together friends and family from different places – some of whom may have been meeting for the first time. So, when it came to choosing their wedding entertainment at Culloden Hotel, they wanted plenty of opportunities for guests to mix, interact, laugh and enjoy the evening together.Â
And they certainly delivered!Â
With beer pong, a photobooth, an illuminated dancefloor and our Fun 21 wedding casino roulette and blackjack tables, there was no shortage of entertainment – and before long, the casino tables were absolutely buzzing.

A Wedding at the Culloden Estate & Spa
Overlooking Belfast Lough and set within beautiful grounds just outside Belfast, the Culloden Estate & Spa is one of Northern Ireland’s best-known luxury wedding venues.Â
It combines the grandeur you would expect from a five-star hotel with plenty of space for couples to create a wedding celebration that feels completely their own.Â
One thing we particularly like is how smoothly the transition from the wedding meal into the evening celebrations can work. Alice and Niall’s wedding was a brilliant example.
Creating an Evening That Got Everyone Mixing
As we arrived to set up, it was immediately obvious that Alice and Niall had put plenty of thought into making the evening interactive. A beer pong table was already waiting for guests, while we quickly got to work setting up one full-size roulette table and one blackjack table ready for the evening.Â
Soon afterwards, CT PartySnapz arrived with their photobooth and illuminated dancefloor (pictured below), adding even more fun to the room. The result was effectively an entertainment area where guests had different things to see and do rather than simply waiting for the first dance.Â
For a wedding bringing two groups of family and friends together, this type of entertainment works particularly well. You don’t need to know anybody to walk up to a roulette table. Within a few minutes, you’re cheering for the same number!
The Culloden Room Turnaround – And Why It Works So Well
Our casino games were scheduled to begin at approximately 7.30pm, just as dinner finished and the room turnaround began ahead of the first dance. This is something that works particularly well at the Culloden. Rather than moving everyone into a completely different room while the main reception space is prepared for the evening, guests move towards the entertainment area and a huge white curtain is swept across the room.Â
Behind it, the Culloden team quickly transform the dining area ready for the evening celebrations. In front of it? That’s where the fun begins. As soon as our tables opened, guests were quick to grab their Fun 21 money and get involved.
Roulette, Blackjack and Plenty of Big Bets
It didn’t take long for both tables to fill. The blackjack players were chasing 21, while over at roulette there were plenty of ambitious bets going onto the layout. And this is where a fun casino can really come into its own as wedding entertainment. You don’t have to know how to play. There’s no real money involved, and our croupiers explain everything as we go. Before long, people who may not have known one another earlier in the day are comparing bets, celebrating each other’s wins and getting caught up in the action together. At Alice and Niall’s wedding, there were some fantastic moments at both tables – but one roulette spin in particular summed up the entire evening.
One Roulette Spin – And an Epic Reaction
Picture the scene – or watch the video below.Â
Around eight or nine lads are gathered around the roulette table, completely invested in where the ball is going to land. They’re willing it towards RED. The wheel slows…Â
The ball drops… RED!Â
The reaction as you will see in the video below was brilliant.Â
Earlier in the evening Emily had nine chips riding on the winning number. When the ball landed, she realised just how big her win was – and the resulting celebration, complete with a brilliant double dance, was one of our favourite moments of the night.Â
It was all captured by Leah the content creator, and for us, the footage demonstrates exactly why we love providing wedding casino entertainment. Look around the table and you don’t simply see people playing roulette. You see different ages, different groups of friends and family, people laughing together, cheering together and becoming completely invested in somebody else’s moment. That’s what interactive wedding entertainment can do.
Capturing the Fun with Serenity Seeker Content Creator
We also had the pleasure of meeting Leah from Serenity Seeker Content Creator, who had been hired to capture Alice and Niall’s wedding from behind the scenes. Leah did a fantastic job of capturing the atmosphere around the casino tables and very kindly provided some of the video footage featured in this blog. And, in a rare occurrence, she even managed to get me into some of the footage rather than permanently hiding behind the camera! It’s fantastic having these moments captured because photographs tell part of the story, but video lets you hear the cheering, see the reactions and experience some of the atmosphere that surrounded the tables. A massive thank you to Leah for allowing us to share it.
And the Fun Casino Winners Were…
The Party Didn’t Stop There – The Manouche Boys Take Over
As the casino tables closed for the night, the entertainment simply shifted gear. The Manouche Boys, a local five-piece wedding band, took to the stage and carried the atmosphere from the tables straight onto the dancefloor. It meant Alice and Niall’s guests moved seamlessly from cheering over a roulette win to dancing the rest of the night away – no lull, no awkward gap, just one evening of entertainment flowing into the next. It’s a good reminder that a fun casino doesn’t need to be the only entertainment at your wedding. It works brilliantly alongside live music, a photobooth, or a dancefloor – each one giving guests something different to enjoy as the night progresses.
Wedding Entertainment at Culloden Hotel That Covers the Whole EveningÂ
One of the biggest challenges when planning wedding entertainment is finding a mix that appeals to different generations and different groups of guests, right through from the meal to the last dance. Alice and Niall’s wedding at the Culloden Hotel showed how well that mix can work. Beer pong and a photobooth for the early evening, roulette and blackjack to fill the room turnaround, and then The Manouche Boys carrying the night forward with live music – each element handing over to the next without guests ever running out of things to do. There was no pressure to participate in any of it, and no experience required anywhere along the way. Guests could play, watch, dance, or simply enjoy the atmosphere. That’s why we think the best wedding entertainment at Culloden Hotel doesn’t come down to picking one thing. It comes down to how well the different pieces fit together across the evening.
Planning Wedding Entertainment at Culloden Hotel?
If you’re getting married at the Culloden Estate & Spa and want your evening entertainment to flow from dinner right through to the last dance, a Fun 21 casino is a brilliant way to fill that room-turnaround window – and it pairs perfectly with a band, DJ, or photobooth either side of it.Â
A huge congratulations again to Alice and Niall, and thank you for having Fun 21 Casino Hire as part of your wedding entertainment at the Culloden Hotel. Thanks also to The Manouche Boys for keeping the night going, to Leah from Serenity Seeker Content Creator for the fantastic footage, and to Joel and the entire Culloden team, who were brilliant throughout – as always.Â
And of course, congratulations to Emily and Mary, our Fun Casino Winners!
