Joanne & Glenn’s Action-Packed Drinks Reception
Wedding entertainment at Tullyglass Hotel in Ballymena doesn’t get much livelier than this.
Fantastic music, arcade games, the brilliant DJ Maggigs and guests going all in at our fun casino tables made Joanne and Glenn’s drinks reception a brilliant afternoon.
With its mature gardens, impressive chandeliers and spacious Clocktower Suite, Tullyglass offers a beautiful setting for a wedding celebration. For Joanne and Glenn, it also provided the backdrop for a drinks reception packed with entertainment, friendly competition and plenty of memorable moments.
A Bride Who Knows How to Entertain
Joanne understood better than most how much the right entertainment can bring to a wedding. As one of the first people to offer wedding photo booths in Northern Ireland, she already knew the value of giving guests something enjoyable to get involved in.
That experience shone through in the couple’s plans. Their drinks reception offered guests plenty of choice, with music, sweet treats, arcade games and our fun casino tables creating an afternoon that everyone could enjoy in their own way.
It was a lovely example of how thoughtful wedding entertainment can help guests settle in, start conversations and make memories together.
Blackjack, Roulette and Live Music in the Clocktower
We set up a blackjack table and a roulette table in the Clocktower, ready to welcome Joanne and Glenn’s guests for some casino fun.
At the other end, James Quinn Music provided the musical backdrop to the drinks reception. Alongside the music, a sweet station and arcade games gave guests even more reasons to explore, mingle and enjoy themselves.
The combination worked beautifully: guests could take in the music, pick up something sweet, challenge someone at an arcade game or join us at the tables. There was plenty happening throughout the afternoon, and the casino games were action-packed from start to finish.
Wedding content creator @captured__byemma caught the buzz around the tables at Joanne and Glenn’s Tullyglass Hotel drinks reception. From the close-ups of the blackjack cards and colourful chips to guests laughing and clapping around the roulette wheel, her video shows how quickly a game gave everyone something to get caught up in together.
One Card, a Whole Table Cheering
“Come on, 10… it better be a 10!” One card later, a fist went up and the blackjack table broke into applause. (Video below) It was one of our favourite moments from Joanne and Glenn’s drinks reception at Tullyglass Hotel in Ballymena, and a lovely example of how the games bring wedding guests together. Some were playing, others were watching, but by the time that ten landed, everyone around the table had something to cheer for. The money was pretend, but the excitement was very real. Alison Goes All In on Black
Roulette delivered one of the afternoon’s standout moments when Alison put all her chips on black. (See video below)
It was a bold move, with everything resting on where the ball would land. This time, the gamble with her fun casino chips paid off, securing Alison the roulette win.
Those moments are a huge part of what makes wedding casino entertainment so enjoyable. A single spin can become a shared experience, giving guests something to talk about long after the table has closed.
Colm’s Remarkable Blackjack Run
Over at blackjack, Colm was putting together a memorable performance of his own.
A momentous run of three Blackjacks in a row (the last one captured in the video below) saw him take the blackjack win, rounding off an afternoon of lively competition across both tables. With Alison claiming roulette honours and Colm finishing on top at blackjack, we had two worthy winners to celebrate.
Keeping the Celebration Going
As our casino entertainment finished, DJ Magiggs arrived to take over as MC for the rest of the afternoon and into the evening, keeping the celebrations moving.
Joanne and Glenn had clearly put real thought into the guest experience, and it was a pleasure to be part of it.
