Wedding Entertainment at The Rabbit Hotel: Christine & Stephen’s Wedding
Christine and Stephen’s wedding at The Loft was our first opportunity to provide wedding entertainment at The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat, and what a brilliant night it turned out to be. With roulette, blackjack, huge wins and some unforgettable reactions, the casino tables quickly became a real focal point of the evening celebrations.
From huge roulette bets and last-minute changes of heart to some brilliant blackjack and one particularly epic reaction to a winning spin, this was a fantastic night of wedding entertainment and our first opportunity to bring the Fun 21 casino experience to The Rabbit.
Our First Wedding at The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat
We’ve been fortunate to provide wedding casino entertainment at a number of beautiful venues within the Galgorm Collection, including Galgorm itself and The Old Inn, so we were particularly looking forward to our first wedding at The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat.
And The Loft certainly didn’t disappoint.
It’s a beautiful space for a wedding, with loads of character and a relaxed atmosphere that worked brilliantly for the evening celebrations. From the moment we arrived, the team at The Rabbit couldn’t have been more helpful.
A special mention has to go to Claire, one of the wedding coordinators, who has always been incredibly helpful whenever we’ve previously been at The Rabbit for other events. Aktar, who was coordinating the wedding that evening, was equally helpful and made getting everything set up and running smoothly incredibly easy.
For suppliers, that sort of support behind the scenes makes a massive difference.
Red or Black? One Decision Changes Everything!
Once the fun casino opened, it didn’t take long for the competition to begin.
Two of the ladies in particular had an absolute whale of a time at the tables, including Laura, whose allegiance to Arsenal apparently extends beyond football and onto the roulette table!
Naturally, Laura was backing RED — and it was working rather well.
Unfortunately, roulette has a habit of punishing you the moment you start questioning yourself. Laura eventually changed her mind, abandoned her beloved Arsenal red and put everything on black.
The result?
🔴 RED!
Sometimes loyalty really does pay!
Another guest, Cathy, came incredibly close to an extraordinary result. At one stage she had 24 chips riding on a winning roulette number. But eventually she decided to risk the lot on black.
You can probably guess what happened next…
Red!
That’s roulette for you.
25 Chips on One Number – and It Actually Won!
If Cathy thought 24 chips on a winning number was impressive, Bailey went one better.
Bailey somehow managed to have 25 chips sitting on the winning roulette number, producing an incredible total of 924,000 in Fun 21 money.
That’s the sort of roulette result you don’t see very often!
It was enough to make Bailey our roulette champion for the evening, while over at the blackjack table Lois took the honours.
Lois freely admitted that there might have been a little bit of luck involved — although every good blackjack player knows when you’ve won, you take the credit and ask questions later!
BLACK. ONE SPIN. ONE EPIC REACTION.
Of course, one of our favourite moments of the entire evening came from another roulette spin.
One of Christine and Stephen’s guests decided to put his faith in black.
The wheel spun. The ball slowed. Everyone waited…
And when it finally dropped into black, the reaction was absolutely priceless.
It was one of those moments that perfectly sums up why we love providing fun casinos at weddings. There’s no real money involved, but when guests become invested in the game, you’d never know it from the celebrations.
The anticipation, the suspense and that split second when everyone realises the bet has won can create some brilliant reactions — and this one was fantastic.
A Little Spanish at the Casino Tables
One of the things we enjoy most about weddings is the people we get to meet, and Christine and Stephen’s wedding even gave us an opportunity to practise a little Spanish.
One of the guests, Javier, was from Galicia in Spain, so it was great to have a chat with him in Spanish during the evening — and even better to see him getting involved and enjoying the casino games.
You never quite know who you’re going to meet around a roulette or blackjack table!
Fun Casino Tables And Evening Entertainment At The Rabbit
We weren’t the only entertainment keeping guests busy either.
It was great to meet the team from Events by Cassidy McClean, who had brought along their photo booth as well as their Claw Grab machine.
The Claw Grab proved particularly popular, with guests queuing up for their chance to grab a prize. Between The Rabbit’s resident DJ, the photo booth, Claw Grab machine, blackjack and roulette tables, there was certainly no shortage of things happening throughout the evening.
And that’s something we always love seeing at weddings — different entertainment options giving guests reasons to get involved, interact and have fun together.

Christine and Stephen’s wedding was a brilliant first wedding experience for us at The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat, and hopefully it won’t be our last.
