Recently, we experienced a lesson in the importance of creating moments that matter. After a lengthy drive and some heated “mummy-daddy” moments in the car over directions/parking, we were hungry and in need of a meal. It was 4 pm when we stumbled upon a pizza takeaway in Derry/Londonderry. I quickly decided I wanted a burger, Diana opted for a pizza, and Leila, our daughter, firmly declared she didn’t want to eat anything. At this point, we really didn’t need any more drama.
Enter our hero, Hamed, the proprietor of the business who was serving us. Noticing Leila’s reluctance, he gently asked her if she would like to make her own pizza. Her eyes beamed with excitement, and she eagerly agreed. Hamed asked for two minutes, before leading us into the restaurant. He had Leila wash her hands, then brought us to the counter where two pieces of pizza dough were laid out on some flour.
